We are looking for a Housekeeping Manager for our Hotel Pitrizza in Sardinia.
The hotel has been managed by LVMH Hotel Management since January 1st, 2024.
As Housekeeping Manager, you will be an inspirational Ambassador of the Maison, leading by example through a strong operational presence, enthusiasm and guidance. You will play a key role in delivering the exceptional standards, ensuring immaculate room and suite presentation, outstanding attention to detail and a consistently elevated guest experience throughout the season.
Hands‑on and detail‑oriented, you will lead the daily operations of the Housekeeping department, ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness, comfort and personalized service. You will anticipate guest expectations, uphold the Maison's standards and foster a culture of excellence, discretion and continuous improvement.
General Operations
- Oversees daily housekeeping operations, ensuring that all guest rooms, suites, public areas and back-of-house areas are maintained to exceptional standards.
- Conducts rigorous daily quality inspections of guest rooms and suites, verifying cleanliness, presentation, amenities and attention to detail, and ensures that any discrepancies are promptly corrected.
- Guarantees that every room and suite is impeccably prepared, reflecting the Maison's commitment to excellence and anticipating individual guest preferences.
- Maintains a strong daily presence in the operation, supervising activities, supporting the team on the floor and ensuring consistent execution of housekeeping standards.
- Coordinates closely with Front Office, Guest Relations, Engineering and other departments to ensure seamless operations, timely room readiness and an exceptional guest journey.
- Monitors operational supplies and par stock levels, ensuring the responsible use of resources and the smooth running of daily activities.
- Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and promptly addresses operational issues to maintain the highest standards throughout the season.
Financial and Administration
- Ensures the efficient use of departmental resources, balancing operational needs with the quality standards expected by the Maison.
- Monitors housekeeping supplies, linen, amenities and equipment, maintaining appropriate stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Ensures compliance with purchasing, store requisition and inventory control procedures, coordinating with Purchasing and Stores to secure the timely availability of required materials.
- Monitors the availability and condition of equipment and supplies, promptly reporting maintenance needs and operational requirements.
- Maintains accurate operational records and provides relevant updates to the Room Division Manager, supporting informed day-to-day decisions.
Human Resources
- Leads and motivates the Housekeeping team through a strong daily presence, setting clear expectations and demonstrating the standards, professionalism and attention to detail required by the Maison.
- Supports the onboarding and integration of seasonal Ambassadors, ensuring that each team member understands the department's procedures, service expectations and quality standards from the beginning of the season.
- Supervises daily team activities, allocates responsibilities according to operational needs and monitors performance to ensure the smooth running of the department.
- Addresses operational challenges and team concerns promptly and professionally,
helping maintain motivation and consistent performance throughout the seasonal operation.
Policies and Procedures
- Embodies and promotes the Maison's values through impeccable grooming, professional conduct and full adherence to standards.
- Ensures the consistent application of departmental procedures, cleaning protocols, presentation guidelines and quality control standards.
- Ensures that guest preferences and specific requests are handled with discretion, accuracy and personalized attention, in coordination with the relevant departments.
- Addresses guest concerns related to housekeeping promptly and professionally, coordinating with the appropriate teams to provide effective solutions and protect the guest experience.
- Contributes to a culture of operational excellence by identifying deviations from established standards, implementing corrective actions and following up to ensure lasting improvements.
A PERSONALITY, A PROFILE, AN EXPERTISE...
- Previous experience in a similar Housekeeping management position, preferably within a luxury hospitality environment and ideally in an ultra-luxury property.
- Strong operational expertise in housekeeping, including room inspections, quality control, team supervision and inventory management.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate a team, particularly in a seasonal hospitality environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to impeccable cleanliness, presentation and consistency.
- Guest-oriented mindset, with the ability to anticipate expectations and ensure personalized, discreet and seamless service.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments.
- Fluent in Italian and English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiar with hospitality systems such as Opera Cloud, Unifocus and Material Control.
