Senior Accounting Specialist - Chinese Speaker

Role Mission To ensure accurate, timely and compliant accounting and financial reporting activities, taking ownership of key accounting processes and contributing to monthly, quarterly and annual closings in accordance with Italian GAAP (OIC) and local tax regulations.
The role will act as a key point of reference for accounting matters, ensuring the reliability of financial information and supporting effective collaboration between local management and corporate HQ.
Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions and fixed assets accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including periodic reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies.
Manage monthly payroll accounting entries, including salaries, taxes, social security contributions, TFR and related accruals.
Take an active role in monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in line with corporate deadlines and Italian GAAP (OIC).
Ensure compliance with Italian VAT requirements, tax regulations and statutory accounting obligations,



coordinating with external tax advisors when required.
Prepare and review accounting reconciliations, supporting schedules, financial reports and documentation for local management and corporate HQ.
Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, tax consultants and other stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely provision of financial information.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls and reporting efficiency, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate closely with the Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams to support financial accuracy, compliance and operational effectiveness.
Requirements Educational Background: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
An Accounting diploma combined with significant relevant experience will also be considered.
Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably within structured organizations and multinational companies, with exposure to general ledger accounting, financial closing processes, and statutory reporting.
