ROLE SUMMARY:
Inspired Group is seeking to appoint a dynamic teacher of IBDP (SL/HL) and MYP Chemistry to join a well-established Science department at the International School of Modena, Italy starting in August 2027.
Applicants would preferably have experience of teaching both IB MYP and DP, although comprehensive training will be provided.
The successful applicant will be an educator with experience of enabling students to achieve their potential. We are looking for a knowledgeable, enthusiastic,
and caring internationally minded teacher to inspire our students with a love of learning. They need to be a team player that can work within a busy Secondary school and manage their own curriculum within a hardworking, supportive section,
This is an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of our school and to a successful and growing department, in addition to teaching in the IB Diploma.
For the right candidate, there is a possible Head of Department/Subject Lead role available.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planning and delivering the curriculum for:
- IBDP Chemistry HL/SL
- IBMYP G10 & 11 Chemistry
- Standardizing internal assessments with colleagues
- Collaborating on the planning and delivery of the Collaborative Sciences Project
- Supervising Extended Essays and Personal Projects
- Working closely with the DP Coordinator and MYP Coordinator to ensure grading is accurate and provide key data to drive student success
- Acting as a homeroom teacher as required
- Contributing to school development through active participation in staff professional development
- Offering an Extra Curricular activity that supports or extends the current portfolio of offerings
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- University degree in a related Scientific subject and an appropriate teaching qualification
- Recent experience successfully teaching the subject within the 11-19 age range
- Enthusiastic and passionate attitude, showing a love of science and having the ability to convey this successfully to students of all abilities
- Understanding of CAT4 and/or data tracking to improve challenge and progress of young people
- Experience with external and internal IB assessment and Extended Essay is desirable
- A firm understanding of the importance of personalised learning in an inclusive environment
- Willingness to commit to a longer-term position in Italy.
