Company Description
Who we are
Kontai ( https://getkontai.com/) is an AI-powered team that helps companies take control of their recurring expenses, from subscriptions and software licenses to utilities and vendor contracts.
We empower finance departments to gain full visibility over their spending, anticipate renewals, uncover hidden costs, and make smarter financial decisions - all with an intelligent team that works behind the scenes to help them save time and money .
Kontai is part of Startup Bakery , an Italian startup studio that creates vertical AI-native companies in industries with high transformation potential.
And now… we’re growing.
Our vibe
We’re not just building software - we’re building a mindset.
Here’s what drives us every day:
Sustainability - Everything we do has to make a positive impact on people and the planet.
Holacracy - No old-school hierarchies. We believe in roles, not titles.
Lean thinking - If it’s not useful to the customer, we don’t build it.
How we work
Trust & initiative: We trust you to take ownership, make decisions, and learn fast.
Work-life balance: What matters is what you deliver, not when you clock in.
Flexible remote work: Office in Milan when you want people time, remote when you need focus.

Your mission
We’re looking for a BDR Intern - someone ready to kickstart our outbound engine, start real conversations and book meaningful meetings with potential partners and stakeholders.
You’ll work closely with the founders of Kontai and see the direct impact of your work.

What you’ll do
You’ll work side by side with Kontai co-founders to:

- Book qualified meetings for the co-founders
- Learn how to test ICPs, messaging and outbound sequences
- Track everything in HubSpot
You won’t have “hot” leads.
You won’t have a marketing team warming up prospects for you.
But you’ll learn a lot and grow fast.
Requirements

Strong writing skills and clear communication
Ease in talking to people and digging for insights
Proficiency in Italian and a good level of English (written and spoken)
The ambition to build, not just execute tasks
