Our partner is looking for a Performance Video Editor (Meta DTC Ads) — Remote (CET ±2h) based in Italy. Join a growing creative team supporting a direct-to-consumer wellness brand focused on natural supplements and performance-driven digital marketing. As a Performance Video Editor, you will create compelling short-form video ads for Meta platforms, transforming scripts, raw footage, and AI-generated assets into engaging content that drives customer acquisition. You will work directly with the VP of Growth, gaining clear feedback and valuable insights into how your creative work performs in a live advertising environment. With a focus on quality over quantity, you will have the time and resources to refine each video and learn from campaign results. You will also explore innovative AI-powered production tools while contributing to the development of an in-house creative function. This remote, full-time opportunity is ideal for a creative professional who combines strong storytelling instincts with a data-informed approach to advertising. Accountabilities: Edit high-performing short-form video ads, typically between one and two minutes, for Meta advertising campaigns, including UGC-style content, AI voiceover ads, and AI-generated animated videos. Transform scripts, raw footage, and supplied creative assets into persuasive advertising content with compelling hooks, effective pacing, engaging storytelling, and impactful music and sound design. Create and refine video concepts that capture attention quickly, maintain viewer engagement, and support direct-to-consumer customer acquisition objectives. Generate AI voiceovers and produce AI-generated scenes when needed to enhance creative quality and streamline video production.
Ensure captions accurately match the approved scripts, maintaining a high standard of detail and consistency across all deliverables. Incorporate feedback from the VP of Growth, applying revisions efficiently and using lessons learned to improve subsequent creative outputs. Monitor the performance of published ads and use campaign insights to understand which creative approaches work best and inform future editing decisions. Manage assigned projects independently after onboarding, organizing tasks and deliverables through ClickUp while meeting agreed deadlines and quality standards. Contribute to the growth of the in-house creative team by developing repeatable editing practices, testing new approaches, and experimenting with emerging AI video tools. Produce approximately six videos per month, depending on format and complexity, prioritizing creative quality, iteration, and performance over raw production volume.
Requirements:
A portfolio demonstrating hands-on experience creating and editing direct-to-consumer paid social ads, ideally for Meta platforms. Relevant advertising work and demonstrated results are more important than years of experience or formal job titles. Practical experience editing UGC-style advertisements, with an understanding of the creative techniques that make paid social content engaging and effective. Strong storytelling instincts,
including the ability to identify effective hooks, control pacing, make purposeful cuts, and use music and sound design to strengthen the message. Familiarity with AI-powered creative production, particularly AI voiceovers and AI-generated animation. Experience with tools such as Higgsfield, Kling, Runway, or comparable platforms is a strong advantage. Excellent attention to detail, particularly when proofreading captions, following scripts accurately, implementing feedback, and maintaining consistency across video assets. Sufficient English proficiency to communicate comfortably with colleagues through Slack, understand creative briefs, discuss feedback, and review on-screen captions. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, respond constructively to feedback, and continuously improve creative output based on performance insights. Experience creating advertisements for health, wellness, or supplement brands is an advantage, as is familiarity with US-market audiences and advertising conventions. Availability for a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week under an independent contractor agreement. Ability to maintain at least four hours of working-time overlap with the 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Central European Time window. A predominantly YouTube-focused or long-form editing background without hands-on paid advertising experience is not suitable for this position.
