About the role
We are recruiting for an Operations Superintendent position for onshore drilling and workover operations.
Experience requirement: Candidates must have onshore drilling and/or workover experience relevant to the position. Candidates with both onshore and offshore experience are welcome; offshore-only experience does not meet the requirement.
Certification requirement: IWCF and/or IADC WellSharp certification where required by assigned operational duties or client requirements. TAPROOT certification/training is strongly preferred for incident investigation and root-cause analysis.
Job Purpose
Oversee multiple rigs and ensure operational performance, safety, compliance, and delivery of contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Rig Managers and monitor performance across assigned rigs.
- Plan and coordinate rig activities, work programs, manpower, and equipment deployment.
- Monitor downtime, NPT, costs, and contractual performance indicators.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements, including Saudi Aramco requirements where applicable.
- Lead operational reviews, incident investigations, and performance-improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with maintenance, HSE, HR, logistics, procurement, and quality departments.
- Review operational reports and track corrective and preventive actions.
- Support client meetings, audits, operational risk reviews, and resource planning.
Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive drilling/workover experience and senior operational leadership experience.
- Proven onshore rig supervision and multi-rig management experience.
- Valid IWCF or IADC WellSharp certification where required by assigned operational duties or client requirements.
- TAPROOT certification/training strongly preferred for incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Saudi Aramco contractor operations, HSE, and contractual KPI experience preferred.
