About the role
We are recruiting for a Quality Manager position for onshore drilling and workover operations.
Experience requirement: Candidates must have onshore drilling and/or workover experience relevant to the position. Candidates with both onshore and offshore experience are welcome; offshore-only experience does not meet the requirement.
Certification requirement: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is preferred. TAPROOT certification/training is preferred, or mandatory if assigned to conduct investigations using the TAPROOT methodology. IWCF/IADC certification is not normally mandatory for this role unless required by the client or combined responsibilities.
Job Purpose
Establish, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with contractual, client, and applicable industry requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the QMS in accordance with ISO 9001 and applicable contractual requirements.
- Manage internal, external, and client audits and follow up on audit action plans.
- Manage nonconformities, corrective and preventive actions, and root-cause analysis.
- Verify quality documentation for rig equipment, inspection, maintenance, and certification.
- Coordinate with Operations, HSE, Maintenance, Procurement, and HR departments.
- Monitor supplier quality, document control, and compliance records.
- Prepare quality KPIs, trend reports, and management review inputs.
- Lead or facilitate investigations when assigned and appropriately trained.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or diploma in engineering, quality management, or a related field.
- Oil and gas quality management experience, preferably in drilling/workover operations.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
- Knowledge of API Q1/Q2 and applicable client quality requirements is an advantage, depending on company scope.
- TAPROOT certification/training preferred, or mandatory if assigned to conduct investigations using the TAPROOT methodology.
- IWCF/IADC certification is not normally mandatory for a dedicated Quality Manager unless required by the client or combined responsibilities.
