This role offers the chance to play a pivotal part in delivering exceptional patient-centred dermatology care while contributing to the continued development and enhancement of specialist services. /This position is ideal for a consultant who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient outcomes and helping shape the future of dermatology services. /ph3The Role /h3pWe are seeking a highly motivated, patient-focused, and experienced bConsultant Dermatologist /b to provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and management of a broad spectrum of dermatological conditions. /ppThe successful candidate will manage patients across medical, surgical, cosmetic, and paediatric dermatology, while supporting efficient care pathways and contributing specialist expertise in the management of complex cases. The role requires close collaboration with specialist clinicians, nursing teams, and multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure the highest standards of patient care, clinical governance, and service delivery. /ppThis appointment is particularly suited to a consultant who combines strong clinical expertise with a commitment to service improvement, innovation and excellence in patient care. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliConduct comprehensive dermatology consultations and detailed skin examinations for patients presenting with a wide range of dermatological conditions. /liliAssess, diagnose, treat, and manage complex dermatology cases across medical, surgical, cosmetic, and paediatric dermatology. /liliSupport the development and delivery of efficient, evidence-based dermatology care pathways. /liliDevelop individualised treatment plans that optimise patient outcomes and enhance patient experience. /liliMaintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical records in accordance with professional and regulatory standards. /liliWork collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, integrated patient care. /liliParticipate in clinical governance activities, audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service development projects. /liliContribute to the ongoing enhancement of dermatology services through innovation, best practice, and continuous improvement. /pulliRegistration as a specialist in the bSpecialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council of Ireland /b in Dermatology. /li /ulh3AND /h3ulliA minimum of one year of postgraduate training and experience in bPaediatric Dermatology /b. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliCompletion of recognised specialist training in Dermatology within an EU or UK jurisdiction. /liliBoard Certification, Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST), or equivalent specialist qualification recognised within the EU or UK. /liliEligibility to practise independently as a Consultant Dermatologist in Ireland. /pulliProven experience working at Consultant Dermatologist level within a hospital, specialist clinic, community dermatology service, or comparable healthcare setting. /liliSignificant experience in the assessment and management of a broad range of dermatological conditions, including: /liliAcne /liliChronic inflammatory skin diseases /liliSkin infections /liliComplex medical dermatology presentations /liliEssential experience in paediatric dermatology. /liliExperience working within multidisciplinary teams and contributing to integrated models of patient care. /liliMinor surgical dermatology procedures. /liliTeledermatology services and remote patient management pathways. /liliClinical governance, audit, quality improvement, and service development initiatives. /liliFlexible full-time or tempo parziale working arrangements. /liliOpportunity to join a growing, forward-thinking dermatology service. /liliStrong commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and continuous professional development. /liliOpportunity to influence and shape the future development of specialist dermatology services in Ireland. /li /ulh3Candidate Profile /h3pThe ideal candidate will be a dedicated Consultant Dermatologist with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, advancing clinical standards, and contributing to service development. ppThis is a rare opportunity to join an ambitious and expanding dermatology service where clinical excellence, professional autonomy, and patient-centred care are at the heart of everything we do. /
