Overview

As a Junior Mechanical Engineer in the Microwave team, you contribute to evolving hardware for the Wavence family within Nokia’s Microwave R&D.; You’ll gain deep knowledge of microwave hardware, materials, and thermal aspects while aligning with Nokia’s 5G/6G strategy. You work with a global, multicultural team to develop innovative solutions and renew the product platform. This role offers hands-on design and testing work that shapes next‑generation hardware in a leading telecom company.

Responsabilità

- Requirement analysis and feasibility studies
- HW architecture definition and technology/component selection
- HW development and detailed mechanical design
- HW unit test/qualification and reporting
- HW project status reporting and tracking
- HW Configuration management
- Contribute to process improvement and innovation
- Collaborate in a multicultural, worldwide team

Requisiti fondamentali

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related field
- Theoretical knowledge in electronic, mechanical, and thermal domains
- Solid maths and physics background
- Knowledge of metallic/plastic materials and surface treatments
- Knowledge of thermal modelling, simulations, testing of electronic equipment
- Knowledge of technical/mechanical sketches and 3D CAD systems
- Basic knowledge of production processes technology
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, accountability
- Ability to collaborate across different technical backgrounds and cultures
- Eagerness to learn and expand knowledge
