Overview
As Electrical Project Manager for our Milan data centre team, you will oversee pre-construction through close-out of hyperscale projects on site. You will lead electrical installations, ensure safety and compliance, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high‑reliability facilities. This role offers exposure to market‑leading clients and strategic commissions in a fast‑growing business unit. You will drive continuous improvement and act as SME on energy isolation.
Responsabilità
- Coordinate planning of energy isolation activities for construction and commissioning
- Oversee identification, isolation, and control of hazardous energy sources
- Manage electrical installations (substation, transformers, MV/LV, life safety, related systems)
- Verify contractor compliance with LOTO, Permit‑to‑Work, and safety procedures
- Ensure program, contract, and regulatory requirements are followed
- Conduct site audits and inspections for safety and standards
- Lead electrical subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to meet specs and safety
- Maintain full on-site presence for inspections and supervision
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety protocols
- Support planning and execution of high‑risk activities involving hazardous energy
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting on installations
- Act as SME on energy isolation and advise site teams
- Assist with continuous improvement by identifying gaps, risks, and corrective actions
Requisiti fondamentali
- University degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience delivering large, complex electrical installations and commissioning
- Strong expertise in data‑centre electrical systems (HV/MV/LV, substations, switchgear, life‑safety, energy management)
- Experience managing multiple energy sources in data centre or mission‑critical environments
- Multi‑year experience as an Authorised Person for electrical distribution and switching
- Ability to lead, coordinate, and collaborate with stakeholders
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Proven ability to audit onsite practices against standards (assurance/compliance)
- Ability to read electrical schematics and single‑line diagrams, and design effective LOTO systems
