Overview

In this role, you support the Machine Cost Analysis Team by evaluating costs for machines and packaging lines, identifying deviations, and driving cost reduction through technical insight. You will partner with Engineering, Operations, and technical offices to ensure accurate cost baselines and reliable analyses. The role blends mechanical understanding with data-driven cost assessment to support strategic cost management. This is a hands-on position at the intersection of design, manufacturing, and cost control, with a clear impact on product affordability and competitiveness.

Responsabilità

- support cost simulations and estimates for machines and complete packaging lines
- analyze actual industrial costs and compare with budgeted or standard costs
- review complex bills of materials and large data files to understand cost structures
- identify main causes of cost deviation focusing on technical and production drivers
- contribute to cost reduction by analyzing components, technologies and manufacturing processes
- collaborate with Engineering, Operations and technical offices to ensure accurate cost analysis

Requisiti fondamentali

- Master in Mechanical Engineering
- 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, industrialization, methods & time analysis, production engineering, cost engineering, or similar technical environments
- good knowledge of mechanical drawings and manufacturing processes
- strong analytical mindset and ability to interpret complex technical and cost data
- advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of Office Suite
- good knowledge of English language (B2) in written and spoken form
- knowledge of SAP will be considered a plus
- curious, detail-oriented and rigorous attitude; proactive, organized and precise; strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
