Cefriel
Cefriel is a digital innovation centre established in 1988 through a partnership between public and private organisations. We support the digital transformation of businesses and public administrations, with the aim of strengthening the competitiveness of the economic system and fostering the transition towards sustainable growth models.
We are looking for someone with a solid foundation in modern data architectures and generative AI who is keen to grow as a consultant, advisor and trainer. The successful candidate will work alongside senior professionals on innovative projects in a stimulating, multidisciplinary environment, with the opportunity to actively contribute to the development of advanced solutions and the experimentation of new technologies.
Working with the team, the successful candidate will contribute to the following activities with increasing autonomy and responsibility:
- Take part in client data and AI maturity assessments and knowledge audits, identifying where knowledge resides, who is responsible for it, and how reliable and accessible it is;
- Conduct interviews and workshops to identify and prioritise use cases, such as internal assistants, semantic search, decision support and automation with AI agents;
- Support the definition of target architectures integrating data lakehouses, data and knowledge catalogues, knowledge graphs and RAG solutions;
- Contribute to the design and testing of virtual assistants and AI agents in collaboration with the technical team, assessing their effectiveness against project objectives;
- Prepare deliverables for management teams, including roadmaps, business cases, architecture documents and presentations;
- Support clients with governance topics, including data ownership and quality, metadata management, AI usage policies and AI Act requirements;
- Support teaching activities within our training programmes and master’s courses and, over time, share expertise on the relevant topics through talks, articles and events;
- Monitor developments in leading platforms and technology providers, and contribute to the preparation of project proposals and thought-leadership content on Data and AI.
Required Skills
We are not looking for someone who is already an expert in every tool. We value someone who understands the concepts well and can explain and combine them effectively. There will be opportunities to deepen other areas through hands-on experience alongside senior professionals.
- 2-3 years of experience in data, AI, technology consulting or related roles;
- A degree in a STEM discipline, such as Management Engineering, Computer Science, Economics or a related field. Relevant projects, dissertations or certifications matter more than the specific degree title;
- Working knowledge of Python and SQL, a basic understanding of software engineering and code version control, such as Git, and experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex or Cursor;
- Fluent written and spoken Italian is a minimum requirement, together with professional English for international projects.
