Your responsibilities
Advise Uniper’s Renewables business on all legal matters relating to the development, acquisition, construction and operation of renewable energy projects in Italy, with a focus on solar, onshore wind and battery energy storage systems.
Interdisciplinary project responsibility and first point of contact for all legal advice for renewable energy projects based in Italy.
Provide legal advice for Uniper’s existing renewables project pipeline across the entire project lifecycle in Italy including corporate law.
Steering Legal Due Diligences, drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts and project documentation, working closely with internal stakeholders and external counterparties.
Advise the development and acquisition teams on Italian permitting and environmental law for solar, onshore wind and battery projects.
Close cooperation with lawyers in Uniper’s headquarters in Germany and other departments of the Uniper Group to deliver strategic legal support throughout the project lifecycle.
Selection and management of external law firms, including quality and cost management.
Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments in the Italian renewables sector and advise the business on their impact and implementation.
Your profile
Law degree with strong academic credentials and full professional legal qualification.
Minimum five years of relevant professional experience in an international law firm or company, preferably in the renewables sector or energy industry.
Proven ability to draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, with a particular focus on transactions (acquisition and disposal processes) and project negotiations, as well as experience in the negotiation of construction agreements (esp. EPC, EPCM, O&M;).
Strong knowledge of the Italian legal and regulatory framework applicable to the development and permitting of renewable energy projects, ideally including authorization, environmental assessment, planning, grid and land-related matters.
Commercially minded and solution-oriented, with the ability to take a proactive role in advising the group on risks and opportunities. xbvzest
