About the role
We are recruiting for a Toolpusher position for onshore drilling and workover operations.
Experience requirement: Candidates must have onshore drilling and/or workover experience relevant to the position. Candidates with both onshore and offshore experience are welcome; offshore-only experience does not meet the requirement.
Certification requirement: IWCF and/or IADC WellSharp certification appropriate to the role and assigned duties. TAPROOT training/certification is preferred, particularly for incident investigation responsibilities.
Job Purpose
Supervise day-to-day rig operations and crew performance, ensuring safe execution of drilling or workover activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise rig crews and coordinate operational activities across rig departments.
- Ensure equipment readiness, preventive maintenance, and adherence to operating procedures.
- Monitor operational progress, efficiency, downtime, and NPT.
- Enforce HSE requirements, permit-to-work procedures, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with the Rig Manager, client representatives, and service companies.
- Maintain shift reports, equipment records, and operational documentation.
- Identify operational problems and implement or escalate corrective actions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience as a Toolpusher on onshore drilling or workover rigs.
- Strong knowledge of rig equipment, crew supervision, and well-control operations.
- Valid IWCF or IADC WellSharp certification appropriate to the role and assigned duties.
- TAPROOT training/certification preferred, particularly where responsible for incident investigation.
- Saudi Aramco experience is an advantage.
