The Tour Guy is a leading provider of guided tours and travel experiences across Europe and the U.S. We operate our own tours and manage a growing marketplace of partner experiences.
What You'll Do
Lead our Marketing and Marketplace departments, ensuring company strategy is executed efficiently and delivers measurable results. You'll manage department leaders, establish clear processes, and use data to identify problems, prioritize opportunities, and hold teams accountable.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage department leaders, establish KPIs, assign priorities, and enforce deadlines through structured weekly reviews.
- Strategic Execution: Translate CEO priorities into actionable roadmaps with clear ownership, timelines, and measurable results.
- Marketplace Growth: Identify destinations, categories, and products to launch or expand based on demand, conversion, availability, and profitability.
- Marketplace Operations: Oversee supplier acquisition, commercial negotiations, product availability, and category performance.
- Marketing Performance: Oversee paid media budgets, ROAS, and profitability through the Marketing Manager, ensuring efficient allocation of spend.
- Marketing Operations: Manage email, social media, YouTube content, Guidebook, and PR through department leaders.
- Analytics: Identify underperforming products, destinations, and marketing channels. Develop corrective actions and track improvements.
- Cross-functional Execution: Align Marketplace, Marketing, E-commerce, and Analytics teams to improve revenue, conversion, and profitability.
Skills
- GA4: Analyze acquisition, conversion funnels, product performance, and revenue by destination and channel.
- Google Ads & Meta Ads Manager: Audit budgets, campaign performance, ROAS, and attribution.
- Google Search Console: Analyze search demand, impressions, CTR, and keyword performance.
- Klaviyo: Analyze segmentation, email flows, A/B testing, and revenue per recipient.
- Excel / Google Sheets: Pivot tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and financial analysis.
- Looker Studio: Build performance dashboards and KPI reporting.
- On-site Search Analytics: Analyze customer searches, product discovery, and search-to-booking conversion.
Experience
- 8+ years in commercial operations, marketplace management, e-commerce, or performance marketing.
- 4+ years managing department leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Direct responsibility for $8 million+ in annual paid media spend, with accountability for ROAS and profitability.
- 3+ years managing marketplace, category, or supplier operations.
- Proven experience executing company strategy through structured workflows, deadlines, and KPI accountability.
- Demonstrated success improving team productivity, commercial performance, and operational processes.
- Experience with transactional e-commerce or marketplaces; European travel industry preferred.
What we offer:
- Permanent Contract
- Salary Range: RAL €80.000-€120.000 + performance premio
- Meal vouchers (€7 per day) in accordance with internal company policy
