RIMA S.p.A. is an industrial company operating internationally.
We are looking for an Export Sales Operator to join our Sales Team.
The successful candidate will support the development of international markets, working closely with the Sales Manager and the international sales teams of the RIMA Group.
The role combines sales back-office activities, operational customer management and support during the initial stages of commercial negotiations.
Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Sales Manager in managing and developing existing customer relationships;
- Identifying new business opportunities in international markets;
- Conducting recall and follow-up activities with customers, prospects and acquired contacts;
- Carrying out sales activities by telephone and email to promote the company’s products and develop new business opportunities;
- Collecting and analysing customer enquiries and requirements;
- Preparing quotations and commercial proposals in cooperation with the Technical and Production Departments;
- Managing the initial stages of commercial negotiations in accordance with the company’s policies and commercial terms;
- Monitoring submitted quotations and ensuring timely and effective follow-up;
- Entering, updating and monitoring contacts, activities, business opportunities and their progress in the company’s CRM system;
- Supporting lead-generation activities and cooperating with international sales teams;
- Entering, monitoring and managing the progress of orders through the company’s ERP and CRM systems;
- Attending international trade fairs and events and managing the subsequent contact and follow-up activities;
- Travelling abroad to attend trade fairs and events and to visit customers, according to business requirements.
Requirements
- Good command of English,
approximately B2 level or above;
- Good command of German, approximately B2 level or above;
- Technical, linguistic or business high school diploma, or a bachelor’s degree, preferably in economics, languages or a technical field;
- Approximately two to three years of professional experience in sales back office, export, customer service or sales support roles;
- Experience using CRM software to manage contacts, customers, activities and business opportunities;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook;
- Willingness to travel abroad to attend trade fairs and events and to visit customers;
- Valid category B driving licence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of additional foreign languages;
- Experience using ERP systems;
- Education or professional experience in a technical or industrial environment;
- Knowledge of mechanical products or an interest in industrial products and solutions;
- Experience managing international customers and contacts;
- Previous experience preparing quotations and supporting the initial stages of commercial negotiations.
