Job Overview
We are seeking highly experienced Validation Engineers to join our Firmware Over-the-Air (FOTA) program in the automotive domain. This role demands strong expertise in end-to-end OTA validation, a deep understanding of vehicle communication systems, and the ability to independently lead validation activities across embedded platforms and backend ecosystems. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and robustness of connected vehicle software updates.
Key Responsibilities

- Lead and drive end-to-end validation of FOTA features, including campaign creation, execution, and result analysis
- Perform detailed validation and sign-off of JIRA development tickets through functional and integration testing
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test cases, and validation plans
- Execute OTA campaigns using REST APIs (Postman collections/Newman) and validate backend-to-vehicle communication flows
- Work extensively on Linux and QNX-based systems, including log analysis, debugging, and issue isolation
- Validate interactions across HPC (QNX-based), RTCU, ECUs, and FOTA backend servers
- Analyze vehicle communication using CAN, UDS, DoIP, and diagnostic protocols
- Troubleshoot complex issues spanning bench setup, ECU behavior, connectivity layers, and API integrations
- Manage and validate campaign configurations including VIN, ECU, software modules, vehicle models, and ESP/RSP packages
- Collaborate with development, cybersecurity, and backend teams for defect triage and resolutionPrepare detailed test reports, validation documentation, and bench setup guidelines
Required Skills & Experience

- 8-10 years of experience in automotive validation/testing, preferably in OTA/FOTA systems
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux xbvzest and/or QNX environments
- Deep understanding of automotive communication protocols: CAN, UDS, DoIP, Diagnostics
- Proven experience in REST API testing using Postman/Newman (collections, environments, tokens, payloads)
- Strong debugging and analytical skills with ability to analyze logs across ECU, network, and backend layers
- Experience in validating end-to-end connected vehicle workflows
- Hands-on expertise in developing automation frameworks for FOTA/OTA validation using Python, PyTest, Newman, and CAPL
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, CAN analyzers, and diagnostic tools
