We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and service-driven Sommelier to join our team and help create memorable dining experiences through exceptional wine service, leadership, and guest engagement. /ppAs a Sommelier, you will serve as a key member of the dining room leadership team, guiding guests through our wine program, supporting operational excellence, and contributing to the ongoing development of our service culture. This role requires a strong foundation in fine dining, advanced wine knowledge, and a genuine commitment to hospitality. /ph3What You'll Do: /h3h3Guest Experience Wine Service /h3ulliDeliver warm, welcoming, and personalized hospitality to every guest. /liliRecommend, present, and serve wines in accordance with Sorelle's service standards. /liliGuide guests through menu and wine selections with confidence and expertise. /liliAnticipate guest preferences, dietary needs, and special requests. /liliMonitor guest satisfaction and proactively resolve service opportunities. /liliSupport VIP experiences and special dining events. /li /ulh3Dining Room Operations /h3ulliMaintain an organized, polished, and guest-ready dining room environment. /liliSupport overall service flow and operational excellence. /liliAssist with greeting, seating, food delivery, and tableside service as needed. /liliEnsure consistent execution of food, beverage, and hospitality standards. /liliCollaborate closely with Front and Back of House teams to deliver seamless service. /li /ulh3Wine Program Management /h3ulliMaintain wine cellar organization and inventory accuracy. /liliEnsure proper storage, rotation, and quality of all wine products. /liliContinuously expand knowledge of the wine list, menu offerings, and industry trends. /li /ulh3Training Leadership /h3ulliLead wine education and product knowledge training for the service team. /liliTrain and mentor new team members during onboarding. /liliParticipate in pre-shift meetings and menu education sessions.
/liliSupport leadership efforts in coaching, developing, and elevating team performance. /li /ulh3Required Qualifications /h3ulli3-4 years of fine dining or sommelier experience. /liliAdvanced knowledge of wine, food pairings, and fine dining service. /liliStrong communication and interpersonal skills. /liliAbility to confidently describe menu offerings and make thoughtful recommendations. /liliStrong organizational skills and attention to detail. /liliProficiency with POS systems and Microsoft-based applications. /liliProfessional appearance and adherence to grooming standards. /liliHigh school diploma or equivalent. /liliMust meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol. /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications /h3ulli5+ years of progressive dining room experience. /liliCourt of Master Sommeliers Level II Certification. /liliExtensive food and wine knowledge with a passion for continuous learning. /liliDemonstrated leadership and mentoring experience. /li /ulh3Physical Requirements /h3ulliAbility to regularly lift and carry up to 30 pounds. /liliAbility to push or pull equipment with assistance. /liliAbility to bend, reach, and work efficiently in confined service areas. /liliAbility to work in varying temperatures, including kitchen and storage environments. /liliContinuous visual, verbal, and auditory engagement required for guest interaction and service execution. /li /ulpReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. /ppBHC is an equal employment opportunity employer.
