Madrigal Pharmaceuticals seeks a Medical Advisor for Italy to plan and lead pre- and post-launch medical activities in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease. The role combines clinical expertise, scientific engagement with healthcare professionals, and internal collaboration to advance the company's MASH therapeutic strategy.
Responsibilities
Support clinical trials and engage external experts to generate scientific data
Identify trial sites and interact with investigators to enhance patient enrolment
Build and maintain relationships with thought leaders and healthcare professionals in hepatology, gastroenterology, and endocrinology
Represent the company at scientific congresses and professional society meetings




Develop and deliver scientific trainings; respond to external clinical and scientific inquiries
Requirements
Medical field experience in medical science liaison or similar role
Life Science Master's degree, Diploma, or Doctorate qualification
Hepatology, Gastroenterology, or fatty liver disease experience strongly preferred
Working knowledge of local regulatory, HTA, and disease management for NAFLD/NASH strongly preferred
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in dynamic environments
Willingness to travel internationally
Compensation:
€90,000–€110,000 gross base salary; performance-based premio and equity also offered
