Field service engineer
Company description intuitive is a global technology leader in minimally invasive care and the pioneer of robotic-assisted surgery. we expand the potential of physicians to heal without constraints and foster an inclusive, diverse team.primary function of position the field service engineer will manage customer technical relations after the point of sale for all intuitive surgical products in an assigned territory, handling technical escalations and setting expectations with customers and internal teams.roles and responsibilitiessupport all da vinci surgical platforms.analyze customer requirements and provide pre-site planning and installation coordination.autonomously schedule planned and unplanned appointments to ensure system reliability and meet uptime guarantees.assess follow-up visits to maintain maximum system functionality.use independent judgment to assess and repair intuitive surgical products.determine customer training needs in the operating-room environment and deliver technical training or support as required.manage administrative duties including spare-parts inventory, returned material authorizations, calibrated equipment, training documentation,
preventative-maintenance scheduling, service contracts, billing, system configurations and call-escalation data.support sales, training and marketing events by analyzing potential issues and developing resolution strategies.qualificationscollege degree in applied science or engineering preferred, or equivalent training/experience.3-7 years of experience as a field service engineer, preferably with medical devices.strong written and oral communication skills.good interpersonal, administrative and record-keeping abilities.knowledge of operating-room protocols and proven ability to build solid relationships with surgeons and hospital staff.proven capability to troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems independently.willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, depending on account distribution.additional information the role is primarily remote (lavoro da remoto 100%) with occasional on-site visits as required. intuitive is an equal employment opportunity employer and complies with u.s. export control regulations.
