Contract Duration: Until May/June 2027, with the possibility of renewal.
The English International School has been providing high-quality English language education for over 23 years. Our school is located in Modica, a UNESCO World Heritage town in southeastern Sicily, renowned for its stunning Baroque architecture, rich cultural heritage and proximity to some of the Mediterranean's most beautiful beaches.
We are currently seeking a qualified, enthusiastic and experienced full-time EFL teacher to join our team in January 2027.
As one of the leading and most established English language schools in the area, we have built a strong reputation for educational excellence and continue to grow and develop.
We teach students of all ages, from young learners aged 3 to teenagers and adults, across all proficiency levels, including Cambridge English exam preparation.
In addition to courses at our centre in Modica, we work closely with local state schools and private businesses, delivering English language programmes throughout the region.

Qualifications
Cambridge CELTA
Essential Requirements:
-A university degree in any discipline.
-Cambridge CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL or an equivalent recognised English language teaching qualification.
-A minimum of one year's EFL teaching experience.
-Experience teaching young learners, including very young learners.
-Good digital literacy skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to integrate technology into lessons.
-Strong classroom management and communication skills.
-The legal right to live and work in Italy (EU citizenship or a valid work permit).
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
A specialist qualification in teaching young learners, such as the International House Certificate in Teaching Young Learners and Teenagers (IHCYLT) or an equivalent qualification.
Experience preparing students for Cambridge English Qualifications.
Experience teaching a range of age groups and proficiency levels.
A proactive approach to professional development and a willingness to contribute to school projects.
Salary and Benefits
€1,300 - €1,560 / month ≈ £1,087-£1,304 / $1,448-$1,738
Ongoing support Professional development
Salary and Benefits
Monthly net salary ranging from Euro 1,300 to 1,560, depending on the number of weekly working hours (25-30 hours). Working hours may include teaching, staff meetings and other school-related duties.
A comprehensive Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme, including regular INSET sessions, workshops, formal lesson observations and peer observations.
A supportive and collaborative working environment with opportunities for professional growth and career development.
Opportunities to teach a variety of age groups and proficiency levels, including Cambridge English exam preparation.
