Catastrophe Modeling Lead
Within the Group Climate Hub, we are looking for a proactive and experienced professional to join the Catastrophe Modeling team. The role will have direct responsibility for managing and coordinating catastrophe modeling activities for a defined portfolio perimeter, acting as a key reference point for internal and external stakeholders and contributing to strategic risk management and reinsurance decisions. Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Lead and directly manage the end-to-end catastrophe modeling process for the assigned perimeter, ensuring the timely production, validation and interpretation of modeling results and exposure analyses
- Drive the evaluation, testing, selection and implementation of catastrophe models, developing recommendations and presenting conclusions to support reinsurance,
risk management and business decisions
- Perform and coordinate complex exposure management analyses, identifying key risk drivers, emerging trends and portfolio optimization opportunities
- Act as the primary point of contact for Group Business Units on catastrophe modeling topics, providing technical guidance and ensuring consistency of methodologies, assumptions and outputs across the Group
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including model vendors, brokers and reinsurers, overseeing model releases, calibration activities and technical discussions
- Take ownership of the deli
