Program Controller

Within the Business Control Area, we are looking for a Program Controller for our site in Cascina Costa (Varese, Italy), who will support the financial planning, monitoring and performance control of complex programs, acting as a key business partner for Program Managers and cross-functional teams.

JOB TITLE
Program Controller
ACTIVITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities:
- Support program planning, budgeting and forecasting activities throughout the program lifecycle.
- Plan and monitor program costs, revenues and margins, ensuring consistency with business objectives.
- Define and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and related financial reporting structures.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions and recovery plans.
- Define methodologies and requirements for collecting, consolidating and managing program financial information.
- Prepare and analyze periodic performance reports and dashboards for management and key stakeholders.
- Support Program Managers and project teams in evaluating the financial impact of business decisions and operational alternatives.
- Act as a focal point for program financial planning tools, methodologies and processes.
- Collaborate with Finance,
Accounting and other business functions to ensure compliance with corporate procedures and financial policies.
- Support revenue allocation and revenue recognition activities in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Analyze overall business performance and provide insights to support decision‑making processes.
REQUIREMENTS
Education Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Management Engineering or equivalent Seniority Junior: 1-3 years of experience in Controlling, Finance, FP&A;, Project Control or similar roles.
Technical Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes Understanding of cost control and financial performance analysis Knowledge of project and program management principles Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP is considered a plus) Familiarity with revenue recognition and management accounting principles Strong analytical and quantitative skills

Language Skills
English: B2 level or higher
IT Skills
