Power and Digital Senior Engineer
Role This role reports to the Innovation Experts Manager and operates in a global team. The team consists of other professionals each one with the following structure of skills and competencies:
- One (or more than one) major vertical expertise. In the team the person is identified as the matter expert
- Some other lighter expertises that can be extended and developed to become a matter expert
- A broad understanding of the fundamentals of cooling technologies and architectures for data center
The team is globally responsible for:
- understanding technologies and market trends
- investigating innovative technologies and processes
- generating innovation ideas
- supporting the innovation roadmap creation
- developing innovation projects/challenges (H3, H2, H1)
– (incubation – investigation – feasibility)
- providing domain expert level support to the organization on the following areas:
- Thermodynamics & Refrigerants
- Mechanical & Electrical units pre-design
- Power and Digital (BSM, Controls, Software)
- Simulations (CFDs, steady state, transient)
- Cooling Technologies
- Cooling Architectures (at system level)
- Ensuring collaboration, connection and alignment with other innovation efforts within the Cooling LoB, across SP and outside SP (Digital & Service Division)
- Providing deep expertise in the above domains to (but not only to)
