Senior Electrical Engineer
Overview
As a Senior Electrical Engineer in AECOM's Buildings + Places team in Milan, you lead the design and delivery of electrical building services across commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare and mission-critical facilities. You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to innovative, sustainable solutions. Responsabilità
- Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services from concept to project completion
- Prepare and review calculations, reports, specifications, and design documents
- Design and coordinate power distribution, lighting, communications, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
- Coordinate activities with other disciplines for integrated project delivery
- Manage deliverables, schedules and priorities while maintaining high technical standards
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Participate in client meetings and project reviews, presenting solutions
- Support business development through bids, tenders and technical proposals
- Ensure compliance with codes, regulations and sustainability standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement and technical excellence across the team
Requisiti fondamentali
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years in electrical building services engineering, preferably in consultancy
- Fluency in Italian and English
- Strong expertise in power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and building electrical systems
- Proven experience delivering multidisciplinary projects
- Solid knowledge of Italian and international codes and standards
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience coordinating junior engineers and working in multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- International project experience is a plus
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Revit/BIM workflows and electrical design software is a plus
- Professional registration or equivalent qualification is a plus
