R&D Testing & Lab Specialist

Join us and help run what runs the world. /ph3This position reports to: /h3pRD Team Lead /pp__ /ph3Your role and responsibilities /h3pIn this role, you will have the opportunity to be part of a team responsible for electrical testing on low-voltage circuit breakers and switchboards, contributing to both Research Development (RD) and certification processes. Operating on a two-shift daily schedule, your routine activities will include configuring transformers and variable loads to achieve the required test values, preparing the Device Under Test (DUT) by connecting it with appropriate cables and busbars, and executing the electrical tests while working collaboratively in a dedicated team. /ppThe work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite /ppThis role is contributing to the ABB Electrification Business area in particular for the Smart Power Division in Bergamo Main stakeholder the Research and Development Department and external customer. /ph3You will be mainly accountable for: /h3ulliDefining the details, the test sequences, their methods of execution or testing procedures, the equipment and instrumentation to be used, with reference to the applicable standards, preparing the necessary test set-up, the required measure instruments,
connecting the device under test on the testing plant and executing tests; /liliAnalyzing the tests results according to the applicable standard for checking the compliance of the product tested. /liliProducing and developing activities required for the processing of test reports for tested equipment, and issue the reports. /liliProposing improvements in the existing test techniques, based on experience and use of new equipment, in particular for test and measurement equipment. /liliAssisting and supporting customer during testing activities. /li /ulh3Qualifications for the role /h3ulliHigh School Diploma in the Electrotechnical field or Bachelor Degree (3 years) in a Electrical field. /liliYou are highly skilled in Electrotechnical Knowledge /liliAbility to demonstrate your manual skills, analysis capacity and interpretation of results /liliYou are qualified in computer skills ( Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to quickly adapt to proprietary software for recording test results) /liliYou are passionate about precision, teamwork and have an high desire to learn and attitude for problem solving /liliYou are at ease communicating in Italian and English language /liliAvailability to work in rotating shifts /li /ulh3Compensation Package /h3pAs part of our commitment to transparency,
