Digital HW Engineer
Overview
As a Digital HW Engineer, you will contribute to the X-Haul team within Nokia’s MW&CSN Business Unit, delivering digital hardware solutions for microwave transport (Wavence). You will translate high-level product requirements into detailed HW designs, own complex existing designs, and drive feature development and optimizations. You’ll work in a global, cross-functional environment, advancing state-of-the-art hardware for indoor modules and transceivers. The role offers a meaningful impact on next-generation telecom hardware and system integration.

- Requirement analysis and feasibility studies
- HW architecture definition and technology/component selection
- HW development and detailed design
- HW unit test/qualification and reporting
- HW project status reporting and tracking
- HW Configuration management
- HW pre-integration at system level (modem and RF parts)
- Contribute to process improvement and innovation
Requisiti fondamentali
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering or related field
- Strong theoretical foundation in electronics
- Experience with test equipment (Ethernet testers, power supplies, oscilloscopes)
- Knowledge of digital components (Ethernet switches, memories, modem, microprocessors)
- Experience in HW design and product lifecycle
- Knowledge of schematic capture tools (Mentor or similar)
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Good teamwork, adaptability and accountability
