Electrical Project Manager
Overview
In this role you will lead electrical installation and commissioning activities for hyperscale data centres in Milan, guiding on-site teams through pre-construction to close-out phases. You will ensure safety, compliance, and high-quality execution while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. The position offers strategic, high-profile projects with opportunities to shape critical electrical infrastructure and energy management. You will act as a subject matter expert on energy isolation to support ramp-up and risk reduction.

Responsabilità
- Coordinate planning of energy isolation for construction and commissioning
- Identify, isolate and control hazardous energy sources
- Oversee electrical installations (substations, MV/LV, life safety, related systems)
- Verify contractor compliance with LOTO, Permit‑to‑Work and electrical safety procedures
- Ensure adherence to program requirements, contracts and regulatory standards
- Conduct site audits and inspections for safety and work practices
- Manage electrical subcontractors, vendors and suppliers ensuring quality and safety
- Maintain full on-site presence for inspections and supervision of construction
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety protocols and regulations
- Support planning and execution of high-risk energy activities
- Provide technical guidance on electrical installations per contract and specs
- Act as SME on energy isolation and assist site teams in non-standard/incident situations
- Support continuous improvement by identifying gaps, risks and corrective actions
Requisiti fondamentali
- University degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience delivering large, complex electrical installations and commissioning including MV switching and DC construction standards
- Strong expertise in data-centre electrical systems (HV/MV/LV, substations, switchgear, life-safety, energy management)
- Experience managing multiple energy sources in data centre or mission-critical environments
- Multi-year experience as Authorized Person for electrical distribution and switching
- Proven ability to lead, coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders to drive improvements
- Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to audit onsite practices against standards in assurance/compliance
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and single-line diagrams; ensure LOTO designs are compliant
