As a Technical Design Manager, you will lead the design and delivery of hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data centre projects in Europe. You’ll manage multidisciplinary teams, ensure technical excellence, and sustain strong client relationships on high-profile assignments. This client-facing, hands-on role offers growth across a dynamic portfolio and occasional travel to UK/I and European offices. Responsabilità
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams (Architecture, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Security, Fire Protection, ICT, BMS/EPMS)
- Oversee all project phases from site due diligence to construction documentation
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality design outputs meeting client requirements
- Identify and mitigate project risks with innovative solutions
- Support commercial/governance aspects with risk mitigation
- Present to clients and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery
- Collaborate with local and international teams for localization and permitting compliance
- Respond to client requirements promptly
Requisiti fondamentali
- Master degree in Engineering or related field
- 7+ years of experience in data centre design and/or project management
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams on complex data centre projects
- Strong understanding of permitting processes, building systems, regulations, and construction methodologies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Willingness to travel; fluent in Italian and English
