External Communications Intern
The External Communication function is responsible for defining and executing a cohesive external communication strategy across geographies and channels to strengthen and protect the Company’s reputation, ensure consistent and impactful messaging, and support business growth. The function manages relationships with Italian and international media, identifies and promotes communication opportunities, supports and coaches Company spokespersons, develops key messages and communication materials, coordinates external agencies, and oversees media relations for the Generali Investments Platform and relevant GBEs. It also plans communication initiatives and events, ensures a continuous flow of information on the Company’s strategy and market positioning,
and monitors media coverage to provide insights that support top management decision-making and communication effectiveness. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the main areas of corporate and financial communications. Working closely with the External Communications team, the intern will develop the practical skills, market awareness and professional approach required to begin a career in this field. The program will provide exposure to media relations, press-office activities, media monitoring and reporting, as well as the planning and implementation of proactive communications initiatives.
