Product Engineer
Overview
As an AI Engineer at WeRoad, you will ship LLM-powered features in production, from conversational agents to AI search and personalization. You’ll join a small, hands-on Science Team that values ownership and fast delivery, impacting thousands of travelers across Europe and beyond. You’ll design LangGraph workflows, evaluate models and costs, and integrate AI services with WeRoad’s data stack. This role blends product sense with engineering rigor to transform travel experiences at scale.

Responsabilità Build, ship and maintain LLM-powered features in production (agents, classifiers, RAG pipelines, AI search)
Design and iterate on LangGraph workflows, prompts and tool-calling logic
Set up and run evaluations: define test sets, monitor quality, latency and cost with tracing/observability tools (e.g. Langfuse)
Integrate AI services with the product and data stack (APIs, databases, BigQuery, GCP)
Optimize token usage, model routing, prompt efficiency and response quality
Collaborate with Product, Customer Care, Marketing and Data to identify AI use cases and move from prototype to production
Own problems end-to-end from need understanding to shipping and monitoring
Requisiti fondamentali Product sense: start from the problem and user impact, know when not to use AI
Software or product engineer experience, preferably in product companies or fast-moving startups
Ownership mindset: act on vague briefs, ship, and own outcomes
Engineering skills for running AI in production (latency, cost, reliability, scalability)
Experience with TypeScript or Python is a strong plus
Experience building AI-powered solutions (work, research, or personal projects)
Ability to measure and validate prompts/models before trusting them
Clear communication to non-technical stakeholders
Fluency in English
