Overview
As Data Architect at Edgewing, you will lead data architecture across cloud and on-prem environments in a regulated defence context. You’ll partner with delivery teams and product owners to align architecture with business goals, driving data modeling, integrations, and data pipelines while ensuring risk managed delivery. Your work enables cross-functional collaboration, scalable information architecture, and digital transformation initiatives. This role offers hands-on leadership, mentoring, and impactful work within a mission-driven team.

Responsabilità Align data architecture with business objectives and digital information strategies
Ensure data management policies are implemented during system development lifecycle
Design enterprise information architecture to optimize data flow and storage
Create and manage data models and data dictionaries; coordinate with data custodians
Design data integrations across sources using ETL and oversee system interfaces
Maintain data models to ensure consistency and accuracy
Collaborate with stakeholders to determine requirements and communicate architecture designs
Identify improvement opportunities in information architectures and design prototypes
Collaborate with other Enterprise Architecture disciplines (Business, Applications, Technology)
Mentor team members and stay updated with latest technology trends
Requisiti fondamentali 5+ years in delivery or programme management in a technology/data-led setting
Hands-on experience with data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical)
Database design (relational and NoSQL) and data warehousing (star/snowflake)
Azure Cloud platform (data services) and big data tech (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
SQL and advanced query optimisation; API design and data integration
Metadata management and cataloguing; Master Data Management
Strong stakeholder engagement and agile facilitation
Cross-functional collaboration
Mentoring and coaching
Effective communication with diverse stakeholders
Data modelling (conceptual/logical/physical)
Relational and NoSQL database design
