Project Engineer, AMZL Field Engineer
Overview
As a Senior Project Engineering Manager, you will lead deployment projects across the AMZL network, driving automation, MHE layouts, and building improvements. You will work within the Italian Field Engineering team to deliver greenfield launches, retrofits, and optimized layouts that support capacity and efficiency. You’ll manage end-to-end project lifecycles, coordinate vendors, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with a strong focus on customer-centric outcomes. This role combines engineering execution with cross-functional collaboration to scale logistics solutions.

Responsabilità
- Lead end-to-end deployment projects for AMZL delivery stations (Italy/EU)
- Manage greenfield launches, MHE re-layouts, and automated solution retrofits
- Oversee equipment ordering, layout validation, vendor coordination, and installation/SAT handover
- Provide trade-off analyses to align designs with stakeholder requirements and schedules
- Identify process or standard inefficiencies and drive improvements with cross-functional teams
- Monitor progress onsite, resolve technical deficiencies, and maintain project schedules
- Drive simplification to eliminate bottlenecks and ensure delivery on time, budget, and quality
- Collaborate with internal customers and external vendors to deliver per guidelines
Requisiti fondamentali
- Bachelor's degree in relevant fields
- Experience leveraging lean principles / Six Sigma to drive process improvements
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience in program or project management
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Excel
- Knowledge of data-focused tools such as Python, SQL, Alteryx, or Amazon QuickSight
- Strong communication with stakeholders and leadership; experience managing teams
- Experience in data analysis and leadership reporting
- Fluency in Italian and English (C1)
