Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler Intern
Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler Intern to manage production schedules and capacity planning for assigned manufacturing areas. The role involves coordinating with operations, monitoring material availability, and maintaining MRP system accuracy to meet customer delivery requirements.
Responsibilities
Schedule production across assigned manufacturing areas balancing demand and supply with 12+ month visibility
Monitor production readiness including raw materials, component inventory, and documentation availability
Communicate with manufacturing managers and operations to identify and resolve capacity constraints
Issue production orders and track production performance against MRP parameters
Coordinate with Material Planner and Buyer Planner on timely material ordering and supplier lead times
Requirements
Master's degree in Operations Management, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering
At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing planning or similar function
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Good English proficiency, written and spoken
SAP or MRP system knowledge preferred
Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication abilities
