Field Application Specialist - South
Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Field Application Specialist in South Italy to support clinical laboratory diagnostics. The role involves installation, configuration, training, and troubleshooting of diagnostic instruments, with significant field-based travel and customer engagement.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and integrate diagnostic instruments with laboratory information systems
Train customers on optimal instrument usage and platform capabilities
Provide remote and on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and corrective interventions
Complete service reports in CRM system and maintain accurate customer kit usage records
Deliver technical presentations and participate in product-focused discussions with customers
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or equivalent field experience
Significant experience in applications role or medical diagnostics laboratory
Proven IT skills for laboratory middleware management
Strong technical competence and problem-solving abilities
Fluency in English and Italian, both written and verbal
Full driving license with availability for frequent travel ******% field-based)
Willingness to work weekends and unsociable hours occasionally
