Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect & Data Engineer
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect & Data Engineer to join an international organisation operating in a highly dynamic and innovation-driven environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture and data engineering, who can design, implement and manage scalable cloud solutions and modern data platforms.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and optimising cloud infrastructure, data integration architectures and enterprise data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and manage scalable cloud architectures and integration solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, performance optimisation and cost efficiency across cloud environments.
- Evaluate, select and implement appropriate Azure services to meet business and technical requirements.
- Support cloud migration, transformation and modernisation initiatives.
- Design, develop and maintain modern Azure data platforms, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure SQL.
- Build and manage reliable batch and real-time data pipelines.
- Implement data quality, security and governance standards.
- Monitor cloud and data platform performance, ensuring reliability and operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience working with Microsoft Azure.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure architecture, services and cloud solutions.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Data Engineer.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing, Lakehouse architectures, SQL and data modelling.
- Practical experience with batch and real-time data processing and integration patterns.
- Scripting experience using PowerShell, Python and/or SQL.
- Experience with cloud monitoring, performance management and observability tools.
- Fluency in English; Italian is a must.
Nice to Have
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert and/or Azure Data Engineer certifications.
- Experience working with hybrid cloud environments.
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence solutions, particularly Power BI and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
