Senior Mes Software Engineer
Overview
In this role you will lead the design, development and deployment of MES solutions for manufacturing, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver value using AVEVA products.
You will work in a customer-facing capacity to implement scalable MES solutions and ensure system integrity across environments.
The role combines hands-on engineering with architectural input, travel to customer sites, and a focus on performance, security and integration.
You will help shape factory software landscapes in a global, innovative company.
Responsabilità
Participate in requirements gathering, system design, and code reviews
Ensure coding, security and performance best practices
Design, develop, and maintain MES solutions built with AVEVA products
Integrate with external systems (e.g., SAP, PLCs, SCADA) as part of MES architecture
Author system acceptance test criteria and ensure requirements are met on time
Conduct unit and system testing per test plan
Site commissioning of MES solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in manufacturing environments
Maintain detailed technical documentation
Travel up to 25% to customer sites for workshops and training
Requisiti fondamentali
Experience or exposure to MES systems (AVEVA/Wonderware, Rockwell FT, Siemens Opcenter, Apriso)
Understanding of manufacturing processes, production workflows, and shop floor integration
Fluent in English
5+ years of hands-on experience in C#, .
NET, Web API development
Proficient in creating and optimizing SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning
Strong front-end skills (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
Solid understanding of SCADA solutions and industrial communication protocols
