Global Category Director – HR
Accenture is seeking a seasoned procurement leader to head the P+ HR & Professional Services Category on a global scale. In this high-visibility role, you will define and execute the category vision for two strategically important spend clusters, partnering with senior executives and business leaders to deliver measurable value, service excellence, and compliance across Markets and Market Units. As a trusted advisor to budget owners and a member of the broader Procurement leadership community, you will combine deep category expertise, market insight, and strong people leadership to shape multi-year strategies and enabling agreements that support Accenture’s business goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Build trusted relationships with the Procurement Executive Leadership Team, senior leaders, and budget owners, using category and industry expertise to build consensus and drive multi-year strategies and enabling agreements
• Define and own a best-in-class global strategy and vision for HR (Benefits, Payroll, Consulting, Training, Research) and Professional Services (Marketing, Legal, Finance, Audit, Tax, Immigration, Advisory), leveraging market trends and aligning with P+ goals
• Be accountable for implementing the strategy across Markets and Market Units, driving the sourcing pipeline and forecast, and measuring category value, service excellence, and compliance, while continuously improving sourcing and buying channels and addressing leakage
• Manage the global P+ Category team, including target setting, performance reviews,
and career development, while coaching team leads and fostering collaboration, delivery excellence, and a cross-category mindset
• Coordinate resources and set implementation plans, measurements, and reporting for Global/Market/MU initiatives, while promoting the use of contracts and buying channels in line with category strategies and driving improvements such as specification optimization Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to role, level, seniority, responsibility, skillset, and level of experience. For this position, the job level is Dirigenti Industria (V012). The gross annual salary range is between 85,000€ and 126,500€ Skills
• 15+ years in Procurement, including 10+ years in HR Services and/or 7+ years in Professional Services (Marketing, Legal, Finance) at scale, with proven strategic sourcing leadership
• Strong end-to-end knowledge of Category Management, Sourcing, Contracting, P2P, and Account Management, with business acumen and a focus on process improvement
• Proven track record of building stakeholder relationships that drive high customer satisfaction, backed by excellent communication skills
• Ability to build and lead cross-functional, team-oriented environments and partner effectively across functions and geographies
• Comfortable able to work independently, solve problems analytically, and drive global transformational change within a matrix organization
