Manufacturing Engineer
Industrialization / Manufacturing Engineer – Large Yachts | Recife, Brazil NX Boats is Brazil's leading motorboat manufacturer: around 400 boats a year, from 26 to 62 feet, built in a 30,000 m² shipyard in Recife with four production lines. Founded in 2014, the company now employs close to 1,000 people, exports to around ten countries and works with Pininfarina on design. As it moves into larger yachts, NX Boats is strengthening its Industrialization team. YOUR ROLE Reporting to the Industrialization Manager, you make sure NX Boats yachts are built right the first time, at the right quality, cost and cycle time. This is a shop-floor role:
• Prepare and support the production launch of new models, with the Product Engineering team
• Define and improve manufacturing processes: lamination, infusion, bonding, assembly and outfitting
• Write work instructions, assembly sequences and build-hour estimates; organize workstations and flows
• Follow composite processes, molds and tooling with the tooling team
• Solve production issues with the Quality team and drive continuous improvement (build hours, rework,
cost).
YOUR PROFILE
• Engineering degree (Master's level) in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Materials, Composites, Naval or Marine Engineering
• Up to 10 years of experience in industrialization, production or manufacturing engineering
• Experience in the construction or refit of large yachts in a shipyard
• Hands-on composite experience (GRP/CFRP, infusion, molds) and real shop-floor experience
• Fluent English; Italian, Spanish or Portuguese is a strong advantage, but not mandatory
• Genuine motivation to relocate to Brazil.
