Scrum Master

The Role This is a remote, contractor opportunity based in LATAM, supporting one of our top client engagements — a global leader in financial services. We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to guide one or more Agile delivery teams in applying Scrum principles and practices. In this role, you will partner closely with Product Owners, engineering leads, and stakeholders to help the team plan, execute, and continuously improve how it delivers value. You will act as a servant leader and change agent who removes obstacles, fosters collaboration, and helps the team mature in its Agile practices.
What You'll Do
• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring each ceremony is purposeful and well run
• Coach the team and stakeholders on Scrum values, Agile principles, and self-organization
• Identify and remove impediments that block the team's progress, escalating where needed
• Partner with the Product Owner on backlog refinement, prioritization,
and sprint goal alignment
• Track and communicate sprint metrics (velocity, burndown/burnup, cycle time) to the team and leadership
• Shield the team from unplanned work and external interruptions during the sprint
• Promote continuous improvement by helping the team identify and act on retrospective outcomes
• Support coordination across teams when dependencies or shared resources are involved
• Champion transparency, visibility, and healthy team dynamics Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile facilitation role
• Solid understanding of Scrum and Agile frameworks, with hands-on experience running ceremonies
• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I, or equivalent)
• Experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
• Strong facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional and, where applicable, distributed or remote teams
• Comfortable tracking, interpreting, and presenting Agile metrics Nice to Have
• Experience with scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Scrum of Scrums)
• Advanced certification (PSM II, A-CSM, SA, or similar)
• Experience supporting multiple teams or products concurrently
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Background coaching or mentoring other Scrum Masters or teams new to Agile
