Jump the line and land in our inbox by following the cover letter instructions at this link: yapmedia.com/community YAP Media is hiring a Community Marketing Specialist to build and run the engine behind our YAP Academy community. You will build and execute the systems that turn attendees into members and members into results: the welcome flow, the accountability programming, the retention playbook and the email and SMS campaigns that fill each webinar. You will run the day-to-day inside the community, keep every member touchpoint current, and own every email. You work directly with Hala, with YAP’s creative team on decks and assets, and with additional internal stakeholders on community strategy. Founded in July 2020, YAP Media has grown to 50 team members around the world. Our client roster features billionaires, celebrities and business influencers in the media space. This is a hands-on, execution focused role for someone who writes clean copy, moves fast inside tools and treats a community of members as a product to be improved every week. Success here is measured by your commitment to excellence, industriousness, community retention and clean campaign execution. Responsibilities
• Community Engagement. Represent the CEO inside the community: read member posts, answer questions, review submitted content and give actionable feedback. Prepare and publish community prompts with supporting examples and links, and follow up to drive participation. Draft tailored responses to prospective-member inquiries about pricing, access, benefits and fit.
• Member Retention and Programming. Own the member experience after the welcome. Plan onboarding improvements, accountability activities and ways to spotlight member wins. Prepare accountability calls end to end. Review session recordings, identify timestamps, coordinate edits and add approved content to community.
• Webinar Marketing. Run the campaign content for each webinar. Help the CEO create and prepare for presentations through creative thinking, fact and stat finding, research, outline planning, slide creation, etc. Plan email sequences and write and revise promotional, reminder and retargeting emails. Write and schedule SMS campaigns, including audience and link configuration and credit troubleshooting.
• Email Production and Automations. Build every campaign in Mailchimp: configure audiences, add links, send tests, correct errors and schedule sends. Manage audience data, including contact exports and imports, member tagging and excluding existing members from retargeting. Manage webinar infrastructure and integrations.
• Live Webinar/Call Support. Run final checks before each event,
coordinate during the live session, and handle immediate follow-up afterward. Results
• Produce High-Quality Content. Write podcast, webinar and course content that requires little or no editing in 30 days.
• Manage Company Comms. Produce high quality email communications to clients and sponsors as needed, with zero error.
• Take over Hala’s Presentations. Produce top-notch webinar presentations and pitch decks that can be used by the CEO with little or no edits in 30 days.
• Run the Community. Within 30 days, handle member comments, questions, content reviews and welcome DMs, and no member question left unanswered beyond 1 business day.
• Keep Members Engaged. Within 60 days, ship at least one onboarding improvement and one accountability activity, with accountability calls prepared end to end at least 1 business day before each session.
• Own the Webinar Funnel. Within 30 days, write and schedule the full email and SMS sequence for a webinar (promotional, reminder, retargeting) with zero errors in copy, links or audience configuration, and the deck updated with little or no edits from Hala.
• Ship Error-Free Campaigns. Every Mailchimp send is tested, correctly segmented and excludes existing members from retargeting. Zero sends to the wrong audience or broken links.
• Keep the Community Current. Each area of the community reflect the latest approved recordings and offers at all times, with updates live within 2 days of approval. Requirements
• Available to work 9am
- 5pm ET.
• 4+ years of work experience in content marketing, email marketing, community management or a related field. Experience inside a paid community or membership product is a plus.
• Writing & Creative Judgment. Skilled in writing meaningful copy, as well as creating engaging course content and presentation materials that align with the CEO’s voice and audience needs. Crisp copy, on-brand positioning, and feedback that improves work quality.
• Email and Automation Fluency. Hands-on in Mailchimp or an equivalent platform: builds campaigns, segments audiences, tags contacts, sends tests and troubleshoots automations without a how-to guide. Has set up Zoom webinars and integrations before, or can learn them in a week.
• Organization & Pace.
Juggles daily community work with campaign deadlines and course updates; bias to documentation and clear status. Nothing waits on a reminder.
• Natural ability to efficiently plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and tasks.
• Proactive Problem Solver: Anticipates what members and Hala will need next and handles it before it is asked. Resolves tool issues (credits, integrations, failed sends) on their own first.
• Meticulous Attention to Detail: Maintains a high standard of accuracy in all work. Can follow complex workflows with minimal oversight or errors, and catches the broken link before the member does.
• Interdisciplinary Thinker: Brings intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn across domains. Comfortable shifting between creative, strategic, and operational tasks.
• Adaptable & Responsive: Performs well in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Open to change and responsive to shifting priorities or new business needs.
• Owner’s Mindset: Approaches all work with a strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and pride in outcomes. Acts like a stakeholder, taking full accountability for the quality and impact of their contributions. Salary & Benefits
