Energy Champion – Energy Intensive Industry
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Energy Champion to support and drive energy efficiency initiatives within ISO50001 certification scheme, across all Omya's production sites in Italy.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, analyze, and implement energy efficiency opportunities across production processes and utilities.
• Monitor energy consumption KPIs and develop reporting dashboards to track performance.
• Lead energy-saving projects from feasibility study to execution, ensuring ROI targets are achieved.
• Support the continuous improvement of Energy Management Systems through
• ISO 50001 standard application and annual Energy diagnosis report per site.
• Conduct energy internal audits and propose actionable improvement plans.
• Manage relationships with energy stakeholders and ensure compliance with regulatory deadlines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, maintenance, engineering) to optimize energy use.
• Drive cultural change by promoting awareness and best practices in energy efficiency across the organization.
• Stay updated on new technologies, incentives, and regulations related to energy management. Candidate Requirements The ideal candidate combines technical excellence with a growth mindset and has a strong academic foundation, a keen interest in the energy sector, and the drive to tackle complex challenges. Reliable, resilient, and committed to continuous learning, you play an active role in optimizing plant performance and supporting operational excellence.
• Master’s degree in Engineering (Energy, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical preferred).
• 2–5 years of experience in energy efficiency, energy management, or industrial optimization.
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with energy monitoring systems and data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of industrial processes and utilities (e.g., compressed air, steam, HVAC, electrical systems).
• Experience in the energy/process field at energy-intensive manufacturing companies is considered a plus.
• Experience with energy audits and efficiency projects.
• Knowledge of ISO 50001 is a plus.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to relocate in proximity of the workplace Key Competencies
