Procurement Specialist – Engineering & Oil & Gas
Location:
c, Italy Experience level: 2–3 years Employment terms: CCNL Commercio, Level 2 Role Overview A Procurement Specialist is required for an established engineering business operating in the Oil & Gas sector. The successful candidate will support purchasing and procurement activities, managing purchase orders, coordinating suppliers, evaluating commercial offers and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue, process and manage purchase orders.
- Enter and update purchasing orders within internal systems.
- Monitor order progress and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and manage technical and commercial comparison tables for supplier quotations.
- Support supplier sourcing, evaluation and qualification activities.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure the smooth progress of procurement activities.
- Review purchasing documentation and maintain accurate procurement reports.
- Assist with commercial negotiations and general procurement activities. Requirements
- Diploma or degree, preferably in Engineering, Business, Economics or Management.
- 2–3 years of experience in a purchasing, procurement or buyer role.
- Good understanding of procurement processes and purchase order management.
- Experience preparing comparative supplier analyses and evaluating commercial quotations.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is advantageous.
