Software Engineer (C/C++, Embedded Linux)
We're building a new development team for a global leader in fuel management and retail technology, based in Florence (Osmannoro area). The team works on a leading embedded platform in the fuel industry and uses AI tools and agents daily to speed up delivery and raise quality. ?
The challenge
Join a team that is being built from scratch to develop full-stack applications on an embedded Linux platform, with AI-assisted engineering at the core of how it works.
What you'll do
- Design, develop and test embedded software and UX, using GitHub Copilot for AI-assisted code generation and review
- Contribute to the software architecture together with the architecture team, applying AI-assisted design patterns
- Work in an Agile/Scrum team, providing analysis and performing code reviews
- Support continuous process improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of experience with object-oriented languages (C++, C, Java, Python)
- Solid Linux experience, including Linux drivers and kernel
- Knowledge of cryptography
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Hands-on experience with, or strong curiosity about, AI development tools (GitHub Copilot, LLM APIs, agent frameworks such as LangChain)
- Professional working English
- Availability to work hybrid, 2-3 days a week on site in Florence (Osmannoro)
Nice to have
- Node.js
- Knowledge of payment devices and/or payment systems
- Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools
