Electrical Commissioning Supervisor
Overview
In this role you lead the electrical commissioning of HV/MV/LV systems through cold and hot phases, from initial temporary power to full base load and PAC. You work with cross-functional specialists and third-party vendors to execute tests, verify protections and interlocks, and resolve issues during commissioning and operation. You report findings, support documentation, and propose solutions for logic modifications and corrective actions. The position emphasizes safety, permit-to-work processes, and remote or on-site guidance to junior specialists, contributing to reliable system startup and performance.
Responsabilità
Coordinate cold and hot commissioning of HV/MV/LV electrical systems from temporary power to base load and PAC
Perform startup, loop checks, and interlock/protections tests (functional and trip tests)
Collaborate with GT/ST lead engineers, EXC/SSD specialists, generator commissioning engineers, and third-party vendors
Lead troubleshooting and analysis during commissioning and operation; propose corrective actions
Ensure compliance with safety rules and permit-to-work procedures
Prepare and provide technical feedback and documentation to headquarters
Provide remote and on-site support and guidance to junior specialists
Support integration with control systems and overall plant safety and operation
Illustrate and verify proper interlocks and protective functions through simulations and real tests
Contribute to commissioning planning, risk assessment, and reporting
Requisiti fondamentali
Consolidated commissioning experience on HV/MV/LV electrical systems
Knowledge of electrical protections and interlocks
Ability to perform functional and trip tests of protection systems
Experience in cold and hot commissioning phases
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Experience with permit-to-work and safe working procedures
Ability to communicate technical information to headquarters and cross-functional teams
Willingness to provide remote and on-site support and guidance to junior staff
