Summary of Position:
- Responsible for assisting with literacy instruction inside the classroom
- Facilitate student success through implementing and assisting the teacher in using the district approved curriculum.
- Addressing specific educational needs of individual and small groups of students as deemed appropriate with guidance from the classroom teacher.
This position works closely with the teachers and other Literacy Coaches in the building, to assist in providing high quality literacy instruction and intervention to the students in the classroom
- Must be able to develop and maintain positive relationships with Western Elementary students and staff.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with students, teachers and administration.
- Successfully creates plans for leveled literacy groups, with teacher guidance.
