Informatics Business Analyst
Overview
In this role you will analyze data and translate business needs into detailed functional designs to support Abbott’s Core Diagnostics informatics. You will work within cross‑functional teams to define requirements, assess workflows, and ensure solutions meet performance and compliance standards. You help drive product improvements for on‑market and beta initiatives, shaping informatics tools in a fast‑paced healthcare environment. This position includes in‑office presence in Milan four days per week and some travel for user interactions. You will partner with R&D, IT, QA, and other functions to enable data‑driven decisions and operational efficiency.
Responsabilità
- Define detailed requirements through stakeholder interviews, workflow analyses, and user discussions
- Assess end‑user workflows and collect feedback from beta implementations and product familiarization
- Translate business needs into functional designs for development, testing and rollout
- Specify non‑functional requirements (performance, security, reliability, scalability, compliance)
- Prepare specifications and related documentation
- Identify risks and issues affecting business rules and requirements
- Manage scope of applications and related changes
- Assist QA with review of functional test cases
- Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate feasibility, effort and cost of requirements
- Create and execute user acceptance test plans for software changes and enhancements
Requisiti fondamentali
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in English (read/write/speak)
- 2–3 years in documenting requirements, writing basic reports, modeling and supporting on‑market products
- 2 years in defining process/workflow diagrams, requirements and user needs
- Strong communication
- Cross‑functional collaboration
- Adaptability to changing business and tech needs
- MS Office Suite (Excel, SharePoint, Visio, Project, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Jama
- Atlassian suite
