Mechanical V&V Engineer

We are looking for a Mechanical Verification & Validation (V&V;) Engineer to support mechanical validation activities for railway switch/shunting box systems .
? Key Responsibilities
- Analyze 3D CAD models , mechanical drawings, tolerances, and dimensions.
- Perform structural simulations and calculations using HyperMesh .
- Prepare test plans, calculation documents, and test reports .
- Conduct laboratory test campaigns using accelerometers, probes, load cells, pressure switches, and other measurement equipment .
- Analyze test signals and interpret applicable technical regulations.
? Requirements
- 2–3 years of professional experience in Mechanical V&V; / Testing / Structural Analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of HyperMesh and structural calculations .
- Advanced knowledge of MATLAB .
- Basic knowledge of mechanical drawings, tolerances, and dimensions .
- Basic understanding of signal analysis and laboratory testing instrumentation .
- Ability to read and interpret technical regulations.
- Strong technical documentation skills.
- Fluent Italian and English .
? Work Setup
- Hybrid working model with 3 days/week onsite in Bologna, Via di Corticella .
- Availability to travel to Florence approximately once a week .
- PC provided by the customer.
