Junior Pre-Sales Engineer - Omada & VIGIB
TP-Link Italy is looking for a motivated and technically skilled Junior Pre-Sales Engineer to strengthen its B2B technical team and support the continued growth of its professional networking and video surveillance business.
As a global leader in networking solutions, TP-Link is expanding its presence in the SMB and Enterprise markets through its Omada networking and VIGI video surveillance portfolios , serving IT, electrical, and security markets.
We are seeking a dynamic professional with a solid technical background, strong communication skills, and a customer-oriented mindset.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Sales and Technical teams, supporting customers and partners in solution design, product positioning, technical training, and troubleshooting , while actively contributing to business development activities.
Key Job Role and Responsibilities
- Pre-Sales Support: collaborate with the Sales team to develop B2B opportunities, providing technical expertise, product recommendations, and solution positioning across networking and video surveillance solutions.
- Solution Design: support customers, system integrators, and installers in network and CCTV system design, product selection, and technical solution development.
- Customer Engagement: participate in technical meetings, customer visits, product demonstrations, and presentations across IT, electrical, and security channels.
- Technical Training: deliver product training, workshops, and technical enablement sessions for partners, installers, and customers.
- Technical Support: assist customers during product evaluation, configuration, troubleshooting, and project implementation.
- Product Positioning: promote Omada and VIGI solutions,
highlighting their technical capabilities and competitive advantages.
- Market Feedback: collect customer requirements and technical feedback, collaborating with Product Management and internal technical teams.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Telecommunications, IT, Electronics, or equivalent professional experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in networking, technical support, system integration, video surveillance, or similar technical roles.
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, switching, and wireless networking .
- Experience in network configuration, troubleshooting, and basic infrastructure design.
- Familiarity with IP video surveillance systems, CCTV technologies, and security solutions will be considered an advantage.
- Understanding of the IT, electrical, and security distribution channels is appreciated.
- Strong communication, presentation, and customer relationship skills.
- Proactive attitude, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to develop technical expertise.
- Fluent Italian and good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel within Italy for customer meetings and technical activities.
Experience with Omada, Cisco, Aruba, Ubiquiti, Ruckus , or similar networking solutions, as well as Hikvision, Dahua, Axis , or other video surveillance vendors, will be considered an advantage.
