Housekeeping Attendant
ABOUT THE ROLE The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for cleaning, servicing, and presenting guest rooms and suites to the highest standards of hygiene, comfort, safety, and visual detail, in line with the JK Place philosophy and luxury hospitality standards.
Through discreet, attentive, and meticulous care, the Housekeeping Attendant creates an immaculate and welcoming environment for every arrival, stayover, and turndown. Working closely with Housekeeping colleagues, Front Office, Maintenance, Laundry, Food and Beverage, and other departments, this role anticipates guest needs, protects privacy, and responds promptly to operational priorities while minimising disruption.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean, service, and prepare assigned guest rooms and suites for arrivals, departures, stayovers, and turndown in accordance with hotel procedures and presentation standards.
- Make beds and replace bed linen, towels, bathrobes, and other textiles using the required methods and quality standards.
- Clean and sanitise bathrooms thoroughly, including showers, baths, toilets, basins, mirrors, fixtures, floors, and amenities.
- Dust, polish, vacuum, mop, and spot-clean furniture, floors, carpets, glass, decorative objects, wardrobes, and other room surfaces with care.
- Replenish toiletries, guest supplies, stationery, refreshments, linen,
and other amenities accurately and according to established par levels and room setup guides.
- Inspect each room carefully before release, correcting presentation details and ensuring that it is clean, complete, comfortable, and ready for the guest.
- Respect guest privacy and personal belongings at all times, following room-entry, confidentiality, key-control, and do-not-disturb procedures.
- Respond politely and promptly to guest requests for additional supplies or services, providing assistance directly or coordinating with the appropriate department.
- Report maintenance defects, damaged or missing items, safety concerns, unusual conditions, and room-status discrepancies promptly to the appropriate colleague.
- Identify, secure, and hand over lost-and-found items immediately in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Maintain the housekeeping equipment, linen, and supply areas in a clean, organised, fully stocked, and secure condition.
- Use cleaning products, equipment, signage, and personal protective equipment safely and responsibly, following hygiene, sustainability, and workplace safety procedures.
- Support deep-cleaning schedules, special room setups, seasonal projects, and other housekeeping duties when requested.
